MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal jury has convicted two senior employees at a Wisconsin corn plant of falsifying records and obstructing an investigation into a fatal corn dust explosion in 2017, Justice Department officials announced on Tuesday.Corn dust is explosive, and high concentrations are dangerous. Federal regulations require grain mill operators to perform regular cleanings to reduce dust accumulations that could fuel a blast.Jurors found Derrick Clark, vice president of operations at Didion Milling, and Shawn Mesner, a former food safety superintendent at the company, guilty of multiple safety, environmental and fraud charges on Friday. CHICAGO — A search is underway for a missing woman who was last seen on the city's South Side, police say. Chicago police say they are searching for 61-year-old Yolanda Lee, who was last seen in the 3500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in Chatham. Emergency crews respond to home explosion in DeKalb County Police notified the public about Lee's disappearance on Monday evening and did not provide details on how long she has been missing. Police say the missing woman, who has black hair and brown eyes, stands 5-foot-2 and weighs around 200 pounds. CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. (NEWS10) - New York State issued a report that details their findings in regards to DocGo, the company hired by New York City to care for asylum seekers. NEWS10 spoke with area leaders who said the report is not accurate among other developments. Fright Fest 2023 at Great Escape NEWS10 received a seven-page report from a DocGo spokesperson on the findings from the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance on how DocGo is carrying out its mission of taking care of the migrants. NEWS10 has previously reported on complaints from asylum seekers and local organizations about a lack of food, supplies, and concerns about safety. Law enforcement officials have recovered at least 189 bodies from a southern Colorado funeral home specializing in green burials and cremations, a significant uptick as authorities sift through the shuttered facility.The Colorado Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday revised initial numbers from its investigation into the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose. Authorities earlier this month said at least 115 “improperly stored” bodies had been recovered. The number of bodies could change as the investigation continues.On Oct. 13, all decedents were removed from the funeral home and transported to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, CBI officials said in a news release.The second phase of the investigation includes confirming identification and notifying families.
